Bravo Kosher Pizza’s plans of expansion continue: the popular chain will be opening its second midtown Manhattan location on Monday, August 26, at 877 8th Avenue near West 52nd Street by Times Square. To be clear: the address was until now occupied by a non-kosher Bravo Pizza location, which will officially be converted into a kosher one in less than a week.
The news follows a report first published by Yeah That’s Kosher regarding Bravo Kosher Pizza’s decision to debut a parlor in Great Neck, Long Island, as early as this October.
Clearly, the pizza chain knows what it’s doing: the first-ever store debuted in New York back in 1985, serving non-kosher pies. A little over a decade ago, the owners expanded their reach and opened their first kosher outpost in midtown Manhattan.
Today, the company operates six shops in the New York-New Jersey area, in addition to the two latest ones mentioned above.
Lest you think the pizza to be good by kosher standards only, think again: back in 2016, Barstool Sports’ David Portnoy, known for his One Bite Pizza reviews, tried a slice and gave it a score of 8.3.
“It’s pretty good pizza,” he said on camera. We couldn’t agree more.
