Pitmaster, the Israeli BBQ spot that’s more of an interactive dining experience than a straight-up restaurant, is officially crossing the ocean. The brand is set to open its first-ever U.S. locations later this year.
According to YeahThat’sKosher, Pitmaster will kick things off in Florida, with a Miami-area outpost slated for Aventura sometime after Passover. New York City is next, with a Flatiron location expected to open in September 2026 at 27 West 24th Street by Fifth Avenue. The outlet reports that the NYC location will operate under OU supervision.
For the uninitiated, this video will make things pretty clear:
The experience revolves around a seven-course meal that’s all about the meats (duh) and all-you-can-drink wine, served at a single, communal table. That’s right: everyone shares the table, adding to the festive, party-like atmosphere. There’s no menu—chefs simply serve whatever inspires them that day—so no two visits are ever the same. Bonus points: you’ll likely end up becoming best friends with the folks sitting next to you.
Pitmaster is basically a shrine to kosher meats, with a heavy dose of fun and community spirit—which is exactly what Jewish New Yorkers seem to crave most these days.
