The Paley Center for Media

The Paley Center for Media just announced that it will host a conversation about how podcasts are redefining Jewish history on April 30 at 6:30pm.

Part of its ongoing quarterly series “Media’s Role in Combating Antisemitism,” which is launched back in 2020 as a way to “shatter stereotypes, break down barriers, educate audiences,” next month’s talk is dubbed “Jewish Storytelling in the Podcast Era” and it will be moderated by Stephanie Butnick, founder of the Jewish newsletter and lifestyle guide GOLDA.

Joining her are some of the most influential voices in Jewish podcasting: Margarita Lyadova, host of People Jew Wanna Know; Jen Richler, host and producer of Can We Talk?; and Dr. Noam Weissman, co-host of Wondering Jews with Mijal and Noam and EVP of OpenDor Media.

Together, they’ll explore how this rapidly growing medium is giving Jewish stories new life, connecting communities and tackling antisemitism in real time.

“Podcasting is reshaping how Jewish stories are experienced and told—expanding their reach to global audiences and deepening conversations around identity, culture, history and the challenges facing Jewish communities today,” reads an official press release. “Through compelling storytelling and thoughtful dialogue, this dynamic medium illuminates the richness and diversity of Jewish life while tackling urgent issues such as antisemitism, politics, religion, and social justice.”

Tickets for the event will go on sale this Monday, March 30, at noon right here.
