The owners of kosher dairy Queens destination Cafe Premiata are gearing up for the debut of their latest project: Prima di Carne, a new upscale kosher steakhouse set to open at 178-1 Union Turnpike near 178th Street this summer, according to Yeah That’s Kosher.
The outlet reports that the new restaurant is “aiming to open shortly after the 9 days, targeting a mid-August launch.”
The eatery will take over the space formerly occupied by , an Italian American destination that closed a few months ago after over two decades of business.
While the menu at Prima di Carne hasn’t been released yet, the restaurant’s Instagram teases “steak, bar and sushi.”
Once open, Prima di Carne will join a strong lineup of kosher steakhouses in the area, including Hapisgah, Union Bistro Steakhouse and Sushi, and Doma Land + Sea. One more can’t hurt, right?
