Despite sudden location closures and rumors of financial troubles, Patis Bakery appears to be thriving. The kosher café just opened its newest location in Manhattan’s Financial District at 160 Broadway, near Liberty Street, taking over the former home of Milk N’ Honey.

The beautiful new location adds a much-needed kosher option to the area, offering patrons the sort of go-to breakfast and lunch items that have come to define the bakery chain throughout the years. Expect handcrafted pastries, salads, pizza, soups, sandwiches and more, all under OU, Pas Yisoel and Cholov Yisroel certification.

The Tunisian tuna sandwich on multigrain sourdough and roasted peppers ($15) certainly stands out, as do the Greek quinoa salad ($15), the green peppercorn caramelized salmon ($15) and the classic French onion soup served with a Parmesan crouton ($7).

Coffee drinks abound as well, from classic lattes to matcha options and different flavors of iced tea.

The space itself is airy, spacious and well-decorated, with pops of color and marble tables that add a flair of elegance to the daytime cafe.

As made evident by the countless social media posts showcasing both its space and menu, Patis Bakery is a natural fit for the digital age—a must for any restaurant, especially kosher ones looking to stay relevant. But let’s be clear: the food here tastes just as good as it looks on your Instagram feed.
