Just a few months after the non-kosher Suka Sushi went viral for serving push-up sushi rolls across NYC, kosher chain Nori Bar is following suit.

When the spot debuts its new Kings Highway location on March 10, it will introduce similar-looking pop-up rolls—not just there, but across all of its New York outposts, including Boro Park and Williamsburg.

The news was first reported by Instagram account @nyc.kosher, which previewed the eclectic offering on camera. The concept is simple: the roll is stacked inside a cylinder that comes with a soy sauce tube attached to it. Diners detach the sauce, drizzle it over the top piece and then use the tube to push the roll up from the bottom, biting off each piece as it emerges.

Clearly designed with social media in mind (because that’s the game these days), the push-up rolls also happen to be tailor-made for takeout, ideal for a city defined by constant eating while running to the next thing.

No word yet on whether every roll at Nori Bar will get the push-up treatment, but given how perfectly they travel and photograph, we wouldn’t be surprised if they all become permanent fixtures—or at least viral favorites—at all locations.
