Broadway darling Ben Platt to headline a three-week residency at the Palace Theatre this spring

Certainly one of the most celebrated Broadway actors of today, 30-year-old Ben Platt will be promoting his newest album, Honeymind, in a new three-week residency at the refurbished Palace Theatre on Broadway and 47th Street. He will perform a total of 18 shows.

From May 28 through June 15, Platt will be performing tracks off his newest collection, set to debut on May 31, alongside favorites from his first album Reverie (2019) and Sing to Me Instead, his second work. According to an official press release, “a few surprises for fans” are also in store.

“It is far beyond my wildest imagination to play a residency of my own music in a house as storied as the Palace,” Platt said in an official statement about the project. “I feel blessed to be part of the theater community, and to have the opportunity to perform as myself and from my own perspective on a Broadway stage is one of the greatest honors of my life. I can’t wait to introduce my new record on the beautifully revived stage. My hope is to bridge my musical theater roots that I hold so dear with the world of classic Americana songwriting that I’ve fallen so deeply in love with.”

Not yet re-opened to the public, the landmarked Palace Theatre has been shuttered since 2018 for a round of renovations and restorations. As part of the redevelopment, the building has been raised 30 feet in the air to accommodate retail space on the ground floor.

The residency will be directed by Tony Award winner Michael Arden, who also worked on 2023’s Parade revival, a show that earned Platt himself a Tony nomination.

Tickets for the upcoming residency are available now right here.
