Prime Kosher Sports (PKS), one of the premiere kosher food purveyors within sports arenas, just launched a new stand at Citi Field featuring classic ballpark fare at, believe it or not, not-too-steep prices.
The menu features classic hot dogs ($8.19), soft pretzels ($6.89), pulled brisket nachos ($17.89) and hot corned beef sandwiches ($18.19), among other delicacies. A bunch of different 24 oz. beers are also on offer.
According to a photo published by YeahThatsKosher, packaged items are also on the menu, including Bamba, Gratify Everything Thins, Golden Fluff Popcorn and Paskesz Parve Candy—all sold for $6.49.
This will become the vendor’s third stand at the stadium. Located in section 114, it joins similar setups in sections 141 and 408.
Because no mention of the Mets is complete without also bringing up the Yankees, here’s an interesting related fact: last year, PKS took over all four kosher stands at Yankee Stadium, effectively elevating ballpark fare at the stadium to—blasphemy!—match what kosher folks can eat at the home of the Mets.
The Mets are currently playing the Detroit Tigers and will be heading out-of-state for the next few games, so if you want to enjoy the latest kosher food offering at the stadium, we suggest you snag tickets to the next home match on April 12, when the team is scheduled to play the Kansas City Royals.
Although no official announcement has yet been made, in past years, the stands at Citi Field were able to offer kosher for Passover food as the holiday rolled around—so here’s to hoping that will happen again in the next few weeks.
