If you’re looking to rub elbows with other New York young professionals, we’ve got just the event for you: on June 20, the Museum of Jewish Heritage—A Living Memorial to the Holocaust will be hosting an evening of cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and more for folks in their 20s and 30s to “bond over a shared cause,” reads an official invite. We can only imagine the shared cause to be, well, their Jewishness—a fact that fills us with comfort given the current world order.
The event strictly caters to those 21 to 39—they check IDs at the door!—and dietary laws will be observed.
Do keep in mind that the invite calls for cocktail attire. We honestly can’t think of a better reason to dress up than to enjoy drinks and food while meeting new people overlooking the stunning New York Harbor.
Early bird tickets for the event cost $54 and you can snag your right here. General admission prices will increase at the beginning of June ($72) and at-the-door entry will run you $108, so you’re better off securing yourself a pass right now.
If you need a bit more convincing, here is the night’s breakdown: from 7pm to 8pm, attendees will get to tour “Courage to Act: Rescue in Denmark,” the first Holocaust exhibition for children, one that tells the story of the Danish Rescue, when citizens of the European country helped 7,000 Jews flee to safety and away from concentration camps during World War II.
Following the walk through, from 8pm to 11pm, attendees will get to enjoy the party, which will feature hors d’oeuvres, a photo booth, a live DJ and Campari cocktails (the liqueur company is an event sponsor).
As summer approaches, we like to fill our calendar with worthwhile events like this one, ones that allow us to enjoy all that the city has to offer while expanding our horizons. Join us?
