On Monday, February 23, some of the biggest Jewish names in Hollywood will join forces on the Carnegie Hall stage to present “Letters, Light and Love,” a sweeping production centered on letters written about Israel across the centuries—from figures like Golda Meir and Julius Caesar—alongside other untold stories of ordinary people, according to an official press release.

Sponsored by UJA-Federation of New York, the production will also raise funds for the rebuilding of Kibbutz Be’eri, the site of one of the deadliest attacks during Hamas’ October 7, 2023 terrorist assault on Israel.

Among the A-list celebrities set to appear are Amy Schumer, David Draiman, David Schwimmer, Debra Messing, Ester Rada, Jonah Platt, Julianna Margulies, Mark Feuerstein, Matisyahu, Rona-Lee Shimon and Tovah Feldshuh.

Former Hamas hostage Eli Sharabi and prominent Israel advocate Noa Tishby are also confirmed to take part, with additional talent expected to be announced in the coming days.

An eponymous event was held in London last July, with several of the same stars taking the stage to read letters drawn from the archives of Albert Einstein, Winston Churchill and others. The evening culminated with the performers joining together for a rendition of “Hatikvah,” a moment later immortalized by Debra Messing, who shared highlights from the night on her Instagram account. We can only imagine

At the moment, tickets are not yet listed on the Carnegie Hall website.
