Right by Times Square at 511 9th Avenue near 38th Street is Snooker NYC, the only sort of kosher pool hall of its kind currently open in New York.
The relatively small space opened back in 2021 on the rooftop of the Cassa Hotel, offering a unique destination to kosher audiences: three pool tables and one air hockey table available for rent with meat appetizers, sushi and cocktails by Tempura Sushi—the kosher restaurant located right upstairs—for purchase.
The menu features classic bar fare like onion rings, chicken tenders, and flatbreads, alongside a risotto dish, edamame, and other Asian-inspired bites.
Sure, your typical pool hall probably doesn’t serve sushi, but Snooker NYC earns extra points for bringing modern flair and creativity to the kosher scene.
As for the on-site entertainment, all pool tables are available for rent at $30 per hour, while each air hockey game costs $5 in tokens. It’s a great idea for a fun date night or a small outing with friends.n date night or small friend outing idea if you ask us.
Snooker NYC is open between 5:40m and 11pm (note: the kitchen closes at 10pm) on Sundays through Thursdays.
