Although an extremely popular destination in Manhattan, Mr. Broadway had yet to enter the Brooklyn market—until now.
As first reported by Yeah That’s Kosher, the eatery will open its first Brooklyn location later this year, taking over the space currently occupied by kosher restaurant Pescada at 1776 Ocean Avenue in Midwood.
Pescada, in turn, will relocate to the former Essen New York Deli space at 1108 Avenue J, also in Brooklyn.
Both new locations are undergoing renovations and are expected to open in the first half of the year.
This announcement follows a significant development in the Mr. Broadway universe from last year, when the Manhattan location merged with Ben’s Kosher Deli to form a new glatt kosher eatery under the Mr. Broadway brand.
Although details about the Brooklyn menu are still limited, it is expected to mirror the offerings at the Manhattan location, including soups, salads, sandwiches and heartier entrees such as shawarma, rib eye, fish and various chicken dishes.
This expansion marks a significant step for the Mr. Broadway brand, further solidifying its presence in the New York kosher dining scene—and we’re certainly here for it.
