This past weekend, a powerful new documentary examining the surge in antisemitism across the U.S. since October 7 made a quiet but impactful debut in theaters, grossing over $200,000 at the box office so far, according to Slate.

October 8, directed by Wendy Sachs, features firsthand accounts from the October 7 attack in Israel but expands its scope beyond that tragic day, offering a stark look at the ripple effects in America. The film sheds light on the intensifying culture wars now playing out across the country—particularly on college campuses, where tensions have reached a boiling point.

Among the many notable voices featured in the documentary are actress Debra Messing (who also produced the film), Israeli actress and author Noa Tishby, former Meta COO Sheryl Sandberg, actor-comedian Michael Rapaport and Columbia University assistant professor Shai Davidai, who was temporarily banned from campus for allegedly “repeatedly harassing and intimidating” university employees.

The 100-minute film is currently playing in select AMC theaters nationwide, including locations in NYC. With its limited theatrical run ending this month, now is the time to catch it on the big screen. So find a showing near you and get your tickets right here.
