Although our palates are currently focused on the vast variety of sufganiyot that New York affords us, we’d be remiss not to mention that Babka Bailout is back and better than ever at Bryant Park’s seasonal outdoor market, Winter Village.

The only kosher outpost at the market, Babka Bailout debuted on-site last year to much fanfare, with visitors quickly taking to social media to sing the praises of the rainbow of burekas and babkas served at the bakery, which also operates an outpost in New Jersey, where the business is based.

Just like last year, expect mini babka loaves in nearly 15 different flavors, from sugar sesame to ube Nutella Oreo, goat cheese and more, along with burekas boxes served with tomato dip, tahini, schug and pickles. The latter can be filled with cheese, spinach and cheese, or potato. A little something salty followed by a little something sweet: culinary perfection.

Exclusive to the Bryant Park location is the babka pop: a warm mini babka on a stick, dipped in white or milk chocolate and finished with a topping of your choice.

Packaged treats are available as well, including a unique Hanukkah offering: a Nutella babka adorned with chocolate gelt.

Suddenly, we’re no longer thinking about donuts.
