If you’re anything like us, you’ve been devouring hamantaschen—the triangular pastries filled with a variety of sweet and savory fillings that are symbolic of Purim—all week long. Technically speaking, though, Purim starts tonight and runs through tomorrow, which means you have every excuse to cheat on your diet and grab a few more oznei Haman during a break from work or en route to a Purim party.

Either way, if you’re in Manhattan, we’ve got you covered. Below, a list of kosher bakeries selling the beloved treat—including traditionally delicious options and more eclectic takes on the treat.

Michaeli Bakery

Chef Adir Michaeli’s bakery has been pumping out delectable hamantaschen for over a week now at all three of its locations. The flavors range from the classics—poppy! chocolate! strawberry! prune!—to more inventive options like apple-date, halva and gluten-free Nutella, all the way to downright sophisticated creations such as a Purim galette. Try them all. 401 E 90th St, New York, NY 10128; 115A Division St, New York, NY 10002; 334 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10023

Moishe’s Kosher Bakery

As traditional as they come, Moishe’s is always a go-to for classic kosher staples, especially during the holidays. Here, stick with the tried-and-true: raspberry, poppy, cherry, apricot and the like. 504 Grand St #1, New York, NY 10002

William Greenberg Desserts

Although William Greenberg makes classic hamantaschen year-round, the bakery rolls out a special yeast version for Purim, with seasonal flavors like halva, chocolate and raspberry. The standards—cherry, poppy, prune and cheese—are always available, alongside newer additions from the past year, including lemon, Nutella and almond. Fans say the yeast dough makes them fluffier, more akin to a bread than the cookie-like hamantaschen most of us grew up with. 1100 Madison Ave, New York, NY 10028; 285 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10023

By the Way

By the Way offers three types of hamantaschen: apricot jam, raspberry jam or all-chocolate. Needless to say, we suggest embracing it all and opting for an assorted box (a bit over $40)—perhaps as a token of appreciation for founder and CEO Helene Godin, who gave up her 22-year legal career to open the first By the Way in her hometown of Hastings-on-Hudson in 2011. Fast forward to today, and Godin oversees four shops in total: the original upstate, two in NYC and one in Greenwich, Connecticut. 2440 Broadway, New York, NY 10024; 1236 Lexington Ave, New York, NY 10028
