Although Israeli restaurant 12 Chairs Cafe at 56 MacDougal Street is not technically kosher, the eatery announced that it will be hosting a special kosher pop-up event from March 3 to 6, featuring chef Avi Levi from Hamotzi, the famous kosher restaurant in Jerusalem. Given the popularity of the spot and the stellar food reviews it enjoys, we suggest trying to snag tickets to the pop-up ASAP.
There will be two seatings available each night, one at 6:30pm and another at 9pm. Reservations are available right here. Each pass costs $180, plus tax.
This will be 12 Chairs Cafe’s first-ever event of the sort, looked over by Rabbi Sholtiel Lebovic, of goKosher.org, who will also be the mashgiach on site.
In addition to the prix-fixe menu of North African-inspired dishes and kosher wine, attendees will get to enjoy a live DJ set and the sort of fun atmosphere that 12 Chairs Cafe is known for: think of it as a party smack-dab in the middle of Jerusalem, the sort of fun anyone could use these days.
