New Yorkers: today, lunch is served with a side of great laughs. From 1pm to 3pm, hilarious Jewish comedian Judy Gold is going to be slinging out knishes and egg rolls out of the iconic orange Manischewitz truck on Amsterdam Avenue near 73rd and 74th Streets on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. All of the proceeds from today’s sales will benefit the Lawfare Project, which gives pro-bono legal services to protect the rights of Jews.

Gold herself took to social media to announce the partnership in her signature comedic style, reminding followers of the time she “freaked out” upon first spotting the truck and when it unexpectedly pulled up outside one of her comedy shows in December 2025.

The collaboration particularly resonates following Manischewitz’s recent rebranding. This past year, the company unveiled new packaging, products and a roster of cultural happenings that have catapulted the over 100-year-old business into the modern era.

One thing, however, has remained quite the same: New Yorkers are still obsessed with Manischewitz knishes, matzo ball soup rolls, hot dogs and babka. Add to them a dose of renowned Jewish comedy and you’ve got yourself the perfect lunch.
